Requirements:       • Accuracy in product weighing, assembly and counting • Care of products during handling and packing • Awareness of co-workers (distractions and work environment) • Safety and cleanliness in work environment • Efficiency • Awareness of other staff in need willingness to assist without being prompted • Periodic lifting up to 50 lbs • Fine hand dexterity • Quality control - No prior experience necessary
Description: 1. Determine which product to make. 2. Review and adhere all safety procedures for this process. 3. Establish safe work space and secure all loose clothing and hair to avoid injury. 4. Identify product formula and manufacturing process from recipe files 5. Use current procedures for order which may include: a. Finding and transporting ingredients b. Finding and transporting parts c. Weighing batches d. Mixing seed, glue and/or suet e. Transferring ingredients f. Moulding and forming shapes g. Pouring hot fluids h. Assembling semi-finished goods for cooling and drying i. Packaging and labeling j. Cartoning product k. Stocking shelves l. Rotating stock m. Keeping track of supplies and inventory n. Planning future production o. Ordering supplies p. Assisting co-workers 6. Select appropriate tools, equipment and work bench/location. 7. Manufacture as efficiently as possible whilst keeping items safe from damage during process. 8. Measure, weigh, and count products and materials. 9. Examine and inspect products in order to ensure quality specifications are met. 10. Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them in specified areas such as drying racks or designated locations. 11. Fill and seal containers or materials, using tape, shrink wrap, nails, and hand tools. 12. Load materials and products into package processing equipment. 13. Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers, using hand tools. 14. Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools. 15. Place or pour products or materials into containers, using hand tools and equipment, or fill containers. 16. Keep work area clean and safe. Other Tasks 1. Assist with receiving and re-stocking shelves
Hours per week: 8am - 4pm (Mon-Fri) 40
