Requirements:       This position requires the completion of at least one year of post-secondary education. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed at least two years postsecondary education, or are returning for a Masters program. Ideal fields of study include Business/Administration/Management, Communications, Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, Public Relations, and Indigenous Studies. The successful candidate will employ a variety of skill sets related to marketing, social media, administration, public relations and human resource management. The Program Assistant will be connecting with Indigenous business owners across Ontario as well as administrative staff of First Nation communities. Skill Requirements: • Competent in the use of online tools, including CRM, task management and communications • Excellent skills with technological tools for communication and for data recording/sharing • Ideal candidates possess the aptitude to easily engage, establish rapport, build and maintain relationships with business owners, executives, corporate professionals, and organization administration • Outgoing nature, excited at the opportunity to do outreach by phone to cold contacts • Entrepreneurial, interested in outreach/sales, motivated by creating value for customers/members and creating unique solutions • Ability to meet aggressive timelines and make great decisions to assist driving the company forward • Highly detail oriented with superb organizational skills • Independent, with initiative, drive and strong time management capacity • Strong ability to multi-task with results-oriented mindset Positions available are 35 hours per week for eight weeks, starting July 8th. Compensation is $14.00/hour. The work location is Keswick, Ontario.
Description: Assist in day to day administrative tasks related to the implementation of various projects and programs • Assist with data entry and updates to the CRM database. • Assist with marketing activities including but not limited to content creation of blogs, website updates and posters • Participate in and develop social media campaigns to increase awareness of the organization, activities and events • Conduct outreach to potential communities/organizations whose mandate is to build economic development, health and prosperity, including entrepreneurship and leadership • Conduct outreach to various contacts to engage interest in membership and/or supporting/participating in programs • Research and create database of potential funding opportunities to implement programs in various locations in Canada • Assist in curriculum customization and development • Assist in delivery of activities and events as needed • Other duties as assigned
Hours per week: 35
