Job Title: Dog Daycare Attendant

Date Posted: 03/08/24 Ref. Number: 815
Type: Full Time Part Time
Location: Markham
Requirements: 1) This is a FULL-TIME or PART-TIME, PERMANENT POSITION, so it is NOT recommended for students returning to school unless you are juggling a part-time class schedule and can afford to work 20 to 40 hours a week between 6:30 am and 10:30 pm. If you would like to work PART-TIME, that is a possibility too, but you need to be available from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm during the week and weekends.

2) Candidates without THEIR OWN VEHICLE may not be considered, as this job will require you to work hours or days that may make it difficult to rely on public transportation.

3) This is a PHYSICALLY and MENTALLY DEMANDING position. Working with live dogs in a daycare environment requires employees to pay attention to detail, be quick-thinking, and have physical endurance (to walk, lift, and clean). Imagine this position to be like having two roles: 1) a primary school teacher, and 2) a school custodian. You'll be supervising children, disciplining them, having lots of patience, and being structured with certain rules in place. Then, you'll be vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning the facility on a regular basis.

Please note that this job may not be suitable for all people, especially for those who may not be able to handle fast-changing, loud or noisy environments.
