Requirements: RESPONSIBILITY
• Communicate with festival visitors as the brand’s ambassador and provide an exceptional customer experience
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure orders are processed efficiently
• Employ innovative field strategies as required to increase sales, including price adjustments, offering samples, combo deals, on site promotion campaigns, etc.
• Use social media to increase brand awareness
• Collect payments using the point of sale system
• Ensure workers are performing duties efficiently
• Assign task to workers
• Ensure the visual standards and image of the sales booth is maintained, such as booth displays, signage and cleanliness
• Anticipate and resolve issues to ensure smooth operations (eg. refill ice container before it is empty)
• Ensure adherence to established operating procedures and processes
• Ensure safe work practises are followed by all workers
• Ensure safe food handling practises are followed by all workers
• Daily accounting of sales
• Ensure all supplies are adequate for next business day and ensure supplies are replenished at start of shift as required
• Resolve issues raised by stakeholders including customers, festival organizers, food inspectors, etc.
• Resolve technical issues (eg. power outage)
• Seek out opportunities for continuous improvements and implement ideas to enhance operation, lower cost and improve sales
• Report to senior management on sales, personnel performance, event details, etc.
• Setup and teardown of event booth
• Lift up to 25lbs
Valid driver's licence and a car.

For a supervisor positions some experience in similar role is required.
Description: The employer is seeking food servicing professionals to prepare and sell fresh juice, fruit platters, and apple fritters at festivals in the GTA. Each sales booth will be operated by a team of 3 staff members and a supervisor, in charge of juice or fritter preparations and sales. Benefits include above average starting salary of $17-20/hr plus bonus, complimentary fresh fruits and fruit juice, free lunch and dinner, free entrance of ticketed festivals, and typically working only 3 days per week (Friday-Sunday) for full time hours. Opportunity to gain experience in the food servicing industry, develop teamwork and entrepreneurial skills, and take on supervisor duties while working in a festive environment.
Successful candidates must be able and willing to travel throughout GTA and surrounding cities, either by car, carpool or public transportation, with the option to sign up for events located closer to place of residence. While most festivals are located within the GTA, some festivals require further travel (eg. Burlington, Barrie, Aurora, Kitchener-Waterloo, St. Catherines, Whitby, etc.) and are eligible for travel stipends.
Festivals where we have a presence includes the Toronto Dragon Boat Festival, the Richmond Hill Rib Fest, Canada Day in Barrie, Orangeville Rib Fest, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
• Basic math skills, including retail math
• Able to communicate effectively with customers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Able to complete job responsibilities without direct supervision
• Experience working in a team environment
• Demonstrate strong work ethics: responsible, reliable, and punctual
• Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, but not required
• Maintain a positive attitude, showing entrepreneur spirit in problem solving and improving sales
• Go beyond what is required to achieve goals

Break Policy: 30min every 5hr.
Hours per week: Friday – Sunday, 12-10PM (variable) 20-40
Rate of Pay: 17-20/hr + performance bonus
