** International Pharmacy Graduate welcomed to have hands- on experience, they can start as volunteer and work up to Pharmacy Tech position. **

Description: Medication Dispensing:

Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing medications by counting, pouring, labeling, and packaging prescriptions.
Prepare intravenous medications and other specialized pharmaceuticals under pharmacist supervision.
Ensure the correct medication and dosage are dispensed by verifying prescription information.

Inventory Management:

Maintain pharmacy inventory by monitoring stock levels, restocking shelves, and ordering medications and supplies.
Conduct regular inventory checks to minimize discrepancies and ensure proper stock rotation.
Dispose of expired or unusable medications according to regulatory guidelines.

Customer Service:

Greet and assist customers in person or over the phone, answering inquiries and providing information about medications and healthcare products.
Process customer transactions accurately, including insurance claims and payment collection.
Address customer concerns and refer complex inquiries to the pharmacist.

Administrative Support:

Perform administrative tasks such as record-keeping, filing, and maintaining patient profiles.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding prescription documentation and patient confidentiality.
Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required by regulatory agencies.

Quality Assurance:

Adhere to pharmacy policies and procedures to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Participate in quality assurance activities such as medication reconciliation and error reporting.
Follow established protocols for handling and storing medications to prevent contamination or deterioration.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work collaboratively with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and other pharmacy staff to optimize patient care.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and prioritize workload.
Provide support during peak hours or in emergency situations as needed.
Hours per week: Monday - Friday / 11am - 7pm (hours may vary depending on availability) (20)
