Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• Secondary Diploma or equivalent.
• Current (non-expired) Counter Balance & Raymond Reach licenses preferred.
• Must be able to perform physical exertion – lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required.
• Minimum 3 – 4 years of shipping/receiving and/or order picking experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, data entry is considered an asset.
• Experience with cross-border shipping procedures.
• Excellent time-management, and high attention to detail.
• Ability to be flexible, open and responsive to ongoing changes.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a culturally diverse team.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, teamwork environment with minimal supervision.
• Work is performed in a combination of environments.
Description: GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Reporting to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, the Shipper & Receiver/Order Picker ensures seamless processing of outgoing shipments and incoming items. The Shipper & Receiver/Order Picker receives, unpacks, checks, and stores goods and materials. In addition, filling requisition & orders, packing creates, and shipping products and materials to customers will also be the responsibility of this incumbent. The ideal candidate must be able to work from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Forklift operation (Counter Balance & Raymond Reach), assembling shipments, record keeping, and locating products for specific orders.
• Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for both incoming & outgoing items prior to signing off.
• Preparing products for shipping.
• Preparing proper documentation for shipments (record keeping).
• Shipping/Receiving – loading & unloading of trucks, repackaging.
• Sort and distribute incoming shipments.
• Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries.
• Handle incoming inquiries from both external and internal customers.
• Follow current standards and procedures.
• Maintain an orderly and organized workplace according to policies, procedures & safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
Hours per week: The ideal candidate must be able to work from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. 40
