Requirements: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related field.
Proven experience as an architectural technologist or drafter, preferably in residential and commercial development projects.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or ArchiCAD.
Strong technical drawing skills and knowledge of architectural drafting standards and practices.
Understanding of building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements.
Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices is a plus.
Professional accreditation or certification in architectural technology is desirable but not required.
Description: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to develop and refine architectural designs for residential and commercial projects.
Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
Incorporate design changes and revisions into drawings based on feedback from stakeholders.
Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information and assess existing conditions for design and planning purposes.
Assist in the preparation of design presentations, renderings, and visualizations to communicate design concepts to clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Research building materials, construction methods, and building codes to ensure compliance and efficiency in design solutions.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to obtain technical information and specifications for project documentation.
Prepare and review technical specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for architectural elements of projects.
Assist in the coordination of permit applications and regulatory approvals with local authorities and agencies.
Participate in design review meetings, construction site meetings, and project coordination meetings as required.
Monitor project progress and provide support to resolve technical issues and challenges during construction.
Maintain organized project files and documentation, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
Hours per week: Monday - Friday 40
Rate of Pay: 80k - 120k
