Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
Five (5) years of experience in communications roles, with a focus on both internal and external communications is desirable.
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages for different audiences and channels is desirable.
Proven track record of successfully managing communications projects and initiatives, including working with external vendors is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners is desirable.
Crisis communications experience, including the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure is an asset.

What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced Communications Officer to join the Office of the Deputy Chairman. The office functions as the central hub for a wide range of responsibilities, including executive support, communications, operations, and strategic planning. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Communications Officer to join our team. This position will play a critical role in establishing and leading our communications function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both internal and external communications, GR, community investment, and experience working with external vendors and service providers, including PR firms, ad agencies, graphic design firms, as well as A/V providers. This role will report directly to the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Chairman.

Key responsibilities

Communications Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies to support the company's goals and objectives. Define key messages and channels for internal and external communications, ensuring alignment with the company's brand and values.
Internal Communications: Lead internal communications efforts to engage and inform employees across all levels of the organization. Develop and execute communication plans for company-wide initiatives, announcements, and updates. Foster a culture of transparency and open communication through the creation, use and maintenance of various channels, including intranet, email newsletters, group-wie memos, town hall meetings, and employee events.
External Communications: Manage external communications activities to enhance the company's reputation and brand awareness. Develop and distribute press releases, media pitches, and other external communications materials. Cultivate relationships with media contacts and industry influencers to secure positive coverage and thought leadership opportunities and work with external PR firm to amplify messages.
Government Relations: Support the Senior Vice President, Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement with the government relations portfolio. This includes providing leadership that drives efforts to build and nurture relationships with government officials; coordinating advocacy efforts and policy input; and representing 369 Global’s interests in government forums or events.
Community Investment: Lead community investment across the group, aligning social impact efforts with business objectives. Manage 369 Global’s community investment program and related policies and frameworks and oversee associated tracking and reporting. Identify partnership opportunities, assess community needs, and oversee impactful programs to drive positive social impact.
Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors such as PR firms, ad agencies, and graphic design firms. Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables for external projects. Ensure vendors deliver high-quality work within established timelines and budgets.
Crisis Communications: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks. Serve as the company spokesperson during crises or sensitive situations, providing timely and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders.
Hours per week: 40
Rate of Pay: $65,000–$72,000 a year
