- Experience in custom orders and regular inventory management.
- Proficiency in embroidery software to set up logos as per customer requests.
- Ability to make recommendations on thread color, size, and location for decorating garments.
- Knowledge of heat transfer, embroidery, and screen printing is an asset.
- Strong organizational and planning skills for custom work orders based on customer requirements.
- Familiarity with ERP systems for inventory management.
- Math and analytical skills for inventory reports and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments and with external vendors.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with open purchase order reporting and multi-company inventory transferring.
- Ability to issue and receive purchase orders and update inventory through receipts and adjustments within the ERP system.

Description: Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Custom Order/Purchasing Assistant will play a pivotal role in processing purchase orders for customization of hats, garments, and accessories for a diverse range of customers. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with vendors.
Process purchase orders for customization of hats, garments, and accessories.
- Source and purchase blank goods from suppliers.
- Collaborate with the sales department to ensure timely and accurate processing of customizations.
- Work with the Product Development team and Art Department on Seasonal Catalogue apparel and accessory finishing.
- Maintain a database for season switchover and pricing accuracy.
- Run sales reports for upcoming season forecasts using Microsoft Excel.
Hours per week: Monday - Friday 40
