Requirements: Required Qualifications: • Fluently speak, read and write English (other languages would be an asset) • Positive self-motivating attitude • Ability to work at heights and on ladders • Ability to travel several hours outside of REGION for work on occasion • Strong customer service skills • Technical or networking experience in the electronic security industry considered an asset • Experience with industry brands considered an asset • Ability to work in a physical labour workplace • Willingness to travel and work nightshifts/weekends (as required). • Ability to comply with all safety regulations and meet safety training requirements to maintain a successful safety record (company can assist and review with applicant). • Experience working on lifts considered an asset. • Must have a valid driver’s license.
A successful applicant should also have the following assets: • Provide clear criminal record check • Have an understanding of building construction • Experience with and understanding of IP networks • Ability to self manage and understand and execute verbal and written instructions quickly and independently • Be a team player
Description: Looking for a security technician, who can install, maintain and repair security systems. Such as cameras, access control and alarms/intrusion. This is a customer facing position, applicant will need to be comfortable interacting with clients and dealing with inquires on how to use the system/product being installed. Companies are looking for reliable and technically savvy individuals; and recognizes that some of the qualifications might required on the job training.
Responsibilities: • Installing/servicing a variety of security devices, including intrusion systems, camera systems, and access control systems • Troubleshooting all aspects of security technology including IP networks, and working with manufacturer's technical support • Provide customer support and training on use of alarm systems and camera systems including phone applications • Organize and independently manage installations of alarm and camera projects • Train customers to use their equipment and provide technical service support (both remotely and on-site)
