Description: Summary
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for shipping, receiving and recording the movement of parts, supplies, materials and completed products/production to and from customers and sub-contractors. The S/R ensures all parts that are being shipped are carefully and correctly packaged to mitigate damage during transportation. The S/R is also responsible for documenting any parts/products that arrive damaged from vendors or suppliers and communicating with the Logistics Co-ordinator for review. Responsible for counting and documenting all incoming and outgoing product/parts to ensure customer requirements are met from a fulfillment standpoint. Motivated and can work independently and as part of a team.
Core Responsibilities:
• Comply with all safety protocols and procedures set forth in the OHSA, all company practices, procedures and codes of conduct, adhere to company Personal Protective Equipment policy and participation in all Health and Safety training conducted by the company
• Perform daily safety checks on all equipment i.e.; forklifts, propane tanks, pump trucks.
• Ensure that shipments move in a timely manner, communicating scheduled deadlines and provides warning to the Logistics Co-ordinator or Operations Manager when delivery dates/timelines may be in jeopardy.
• Must occasionally provide flexibility in work hours to ensure load/unloads are completed and accurate.
• Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand and/or by using material handling equipment
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as travellers, packing slips, etc. to verify quality and accuracy of shipment.
• Pack, seal, and label materials to prepare for shipping
• Perform tasks in multi-temperature environments
• Record shipment data for reporting, accounting and recordkeeping purposes.
• Maintain shipping and receiving area; clean and organized.
• Must have the ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative, be proactive and have a hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
• Ensure inbounds/outbounds are operating as per company expectations.
• Communicate issues with other coworkers, supervisors, and managers
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Assist with and/or support other duties and procedures as assigned and/or deemed necessary in the day-to-day operation.


Hours per week: $21.50/hr.
