You have good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. You are well-versed in complex mechanical and electronical systems and have excellent problem-solving abilities. A valid 310T / 310J License. Must have your own tools. Inspect tractors and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately. Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade. Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity Previous experience completing welding and fabrication. Schedule: Tue - Fri, 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM Description: Overview: We are looking for a self-driven, proven 310T/ 310J mechanic who takes pride in solving and repairing technical and hands-on problems. What you can expect: Maintaining our fleet of trucks, trailers and reefer units by performing diagnostics using scanners, electronic test equipment, and on-board computers, completing preventive maintenance, component replacement, and the ability to service our reefers. Details of the role: Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of components on truck, trailer and reefer units. Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems; landing gear assemblies and trailer frames; hitching/coupling systems; trailer bodies; suspensions systems; tires, wheels, hubs and axles; air and auxiliary systems; braking systems; heating and refrigeration systems as well as ventilation devices and hydraulic systems. Completing preventive maintenance, component replacement, and service to refrigeration equipment. Testing systems for freon leaks, repairing and replacing components requiring soldering and welding.
