Requirements:
Demonstrated career progression in Finance or Accounting related roles. Education: University degree, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management. CPA designation. Public accounting or audit experience. Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities combined with an in-depth understanding of business/ financial relationships cross functionally. Experience in the analysis and evaluation of business activities; expertise in Trend Analysis, KPI/ Metrics management through corporate dashboards etc. Solid understanding of the P&L. Ability to evaluate ROI and business drivers in business plans. Solid experience in ERP software. Strong business acumen, work ethic, business curiosity. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills. Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions with minimum supervision. Demonstrated strong leadership skills within a dynamic, team-based culture. The incumbent will have demonstrated career experience in successfully leading, coaching, assessing, and developing others within a finance organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Well-developed organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Description:
We are looking for superior caliber Accountant with upward leadership potential and technical experience, including general and cost accounting, financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliation, internal controls, AP, billing and settlement processes. The successful candidate will enhance the Finance Team’s capabilities to drive strategic deployment and delivery of the projects and programs in support of superior business results. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Accounting – Complete month-end closing process in a timely and accurate manner. Lead the preparation of the monthly financial reporting packages and related internal and variance analysis. Lead the presentation of financial results to the CEO and Senior Management Team and drive value added data driven insights to help improve business results. Full Accounting Cycle oversight – AP/AR, billing/billback and intercompany transactions. Oversee accounting transactions and ensuring proper accounting principles have been applied. Complete monthly balance sheet account analyses and reconciliations, follow up on reconciling items and resolve differences between subledger and general ledger. Ensure completeness and timeliness of tax filings and journal entries, including income tax deposits, bottle deposits/recycling fee, sales & vape tax. Conduct yearly internal controls review, resolve audit gaps, and improve current processes. Manage year-end and other external audits by reviewing working paper files and liaising with auditors. Prepare budgeting and forecasting to guide business progress or change management. Prepare meaningful analysis to support budget assumptions.
Systems – Improve data flow and linkages between ERP and General Ledger (Encompass) Improve/automate accounting processes to drive efficiencies. Pro-actively partner with the business to provide data driven insight to identify efficiencies and improve decision support.

$70,000 - $90,000/year
