Requirements: Food Handling Certificate required or will be getting it prior to 1st day. Previous experience in a kitchen prep role or similar position preferred. Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices. Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs). Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Description: Ingredient Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients as directed by the Head Chef, ensuring all items are prepared in accordance with recipes and standards. Stock Management: Assist in inventory management by labeling and storing food items properly, keeping track of expiration dates, and ensuring that the kitchen is stocked with necessary supplies. Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace by adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Regularly clean and sanitize kitchen tools and equipment. Collaboration: Work closely with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation and service. Menu Support: Assist in preparing special dishes or menu items as needed, contributing to creative culinary projects. Equipment Maintenance: Help maintain kitchen equipment and report any issues to the kitchen manager. Adherence to Recipes: Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
Hours per week: Flexible 20hrs +
