Job Title: Estimator   Date Posted: 10/10/24 Ref. Number: 737 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Stouffville Requirements: Minimum 2 years of estimating experience in (ICI, Heavy civil, Building Construction etc.) is a must. Minimum 2 years of college, preferably in a construction related field. Easily learn other software applications Ability to read plans. A team player who works well with others and independently. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving. Must be self-motivated, calm under pressure, and consistently able to meet deadlines. Organized with the ability to multitask. Pass a background check and drug screen. Positive attitude Description: Undertake field visits to document the site conditions and attend pre-bid meetings as necessary. Review construction drawings and project specifications to determine overall project requirements and any inherent risks. Complete quantity takeoffs of all labour, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the project. (Earthworks volume, Linear takeoffs, etc.) Estimate and proposal creation Preparation and delivery of tender submissions Project and job cost setups (project handoff - pre-con to construction) Establish project schedule baselines Onboarding projects, folder and file setups Subcontractor and vendor solicitation Sales & business development for potential new projects Professional communication with general contractors, owners and municipality representatives Co-operate and communicate with others in a team environment (project management support) Hours per week: 8 hour shift Rate of Pay: TBD Contact: Sandra Fagundes Telephone: 905-640-3909 Fax: Email: sfagundes@jobskills.org
