Requirements:
We are seeking a qualified, dedicated and experienced Supervisor with a minimum of two year’s experience to join our team. The Supervisor will lead daily operations of the center, ensure that the center is in Licensing Compliance and provide leadership and direction in the delivery of quality care and service to the children and their families enrolled in our program.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily operations of the learning centre, ensuring license compliance with all regulations and standards according to CCEYA
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to educators and staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Conduct center tours, maintain wait lists.
• Support and ensure that age-appropriate activities and program are planned and implemented.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, staff, and visitors.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and activities, report to your direct manager to approve adjustments as necessary.
• Manage staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate professional development opportunities with the center’s operation demands.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, addressing concerns and providing updates on children's progress and reporting to direct manager.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, including attendance, incidents, and developmental milestones and reporting to direct manager.
• Collaborate with external agencies and professionals as needed to support the needs of children and families and reporting to direct manager.
• Stay updated with current best practices in early childhood education and participate in ongoing professional development, with weekly to monthly meetings with direct manager on progress updates and concern resolution acts.
• Maintain and update registration lists, children’s files, ministry handbook, health handbook, arranging fire drill practices, quality check within each classroom on supplies.
• Budget and order supplies report to direct manager.
• Able to teach in classroom as ECE as this is a new daycare site.
Qualifications:
• A diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) in Ontario.
• 3 year’s experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an early childhood education setting.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and early learning frameworks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check conducted within the last 6 months.
• Completion of a 2-step TB test.
• Strong computer skills - ability to navigate Microsoft Excel, Word
