Knowledge in medical air and vacuum systems an asset
Able to read simple manufacturing or technical drawings an asset
Highly organized, creative and self-motivated
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Able to work independently and in team environment
Spire experience an asset
Computer skills
Attention to detail
Negotiation skills
Working in fast paced environment
Able to multitask
Mandarin speaking is an asset
Formal college or university education

Description: Would you like to work for a global company that is dedicated to personal career growth? The is a leading manufacturer of Medical Equipment with 9 manufacturing facilities employing over 1100 people across North America.
We are currently seeking a purchasing agent for our Source division!
Responsibilities:

Process requisitions and purchase orders
Initiate and follow up with RFQ and POs with suppliers
Expediting overdue orders and rush requests
Building relationships with suppliers
Review MRP (inventory) replenishment
Manage allocation of job-specific materials purchased in the event of production schedule date changes
Liaise with cross functional teams such as suppliers, production, shipping and customer service to ensure goods are available to meet production requirements on time
Negotiate with suppliers to purchase quality products at the best price possible
Handle NCRs with suppliers
Maintain up to date information on production schedule for cross functional teams to reference
Attend regular team meetings and participate in meetings with suppliers as needed
Other duties as required
Hours per week: 40
