Job Title: PartTime Facility Attendant II (Ongoing Posting)   Date Posted: 11/22/24 Ref. Number: 919 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Newmarket Requirements: Practical working knowledge of health and safety regulations and trained in WHMIS procedures to deal with equipment, cleaning chemicals and facility maintenance. Familiar with pool equipment, cleaning and operation, CPO (Certified Pool Operator) Certificate an asset. Ability to operate arena maintenance equipment including ice resurfacing equipment for arena assignments. Formal academic training in municipal arena and/or pool facility operation or equivalent is preferred for arena assignments. Janitorial knowledge and the ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor waxers, scrubbers, cleaning chemicals etc.). Ability to read and comprehend WHMIS labels, complete logs and incident reports. Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification would be an asset. Provides assistance and customer service to general public and user groups. Hours per week: schedule varies throughout the week TBD Rate of Pay: $20.13 - $21.35 per hour
