Job Overview

Responsible for balancing the financial objectives of different lodging products to maximize total revenues and profit associated with guest rooms. Position is accountable for pricing, positioning and inventory of all hotels within area of purview. Develops and recommends sales strategy for pricing of the transient customer, wholesale, and group segments. Identifies new revenue opportunities and effectively communicates sales strategy and pricing to all key stakeholders. Maintains productive relationships with stakeholders, including hotel General Managers, sales leaders, franchisees and owners. The revenue manager will be responsible for multi-properties located in Toronto, Ontario.

Analyzing and Reporting Revenue Management Data

Achieves and exceeds goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, forecast goals.
Compiles information, analyzes and monitors actual sales against projected sales.
Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Determination of the market; monitoring of information / data about competitors, events, market trends and react to them.
Ensure availability through distribution channels have correct content and prices.
Provides revenue management functional expertise to cluster general managers, leadership team and market sales leaders.
Conducts sales strategy analysis and refines as appropriate to increase market share for all properties.
Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
Managing Revenue Management Strategy

Establishes long range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.
Complete weekly booking pace reports and analysis on pace, recommending strategy changes when needed.
Prepare sales strategy meeting agenda, supporting documentation.
Explores opportunities that drive profit, create value for clients, and encourage innovation.
Communicates proactively with properties regarding rate restrictions and strategy.
Understands and meets the needs of key stakeholders (Owners, corporate, guests).
Ensures that sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented and modified to reflect market conditions.
Demonstrates knowledge of job relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
Actively seeks and promotes opportunities to generate revenue driven by other revenue centers.
Supports cluster selling initiatives by working with all reservation centers.
Assists hotels with pricing and provides input on business evaluation recommendations.
Uses reservation systems and demand forecasting systems to determine, implement and control selling strategies.
Understands and communicates the value of the brand name as it relates to franchise partnerships and revenue management opportunities.
Communicates brand initiatives, demand and market analysis to hotels/clusters/franchise partners/owners.
Assists hotels with pricing and provides input on business evaluation recommendations.
Building Successful Relationships

Address concerns and action plans with Regional Directors of Revenue Management Operations.
Be willing and able to assist other team members when called upon in support of improving bench strength.
Attends meetings to plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate and manage activities and solutions.
Additional Responsibilities

Informs/updates executives, peers and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
Attends staff/forecast/long range meetings as requested by properties.
