Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager – Resident Care, the Senior Financial Analyst - FP&A will be assisting the operations in processing and analyzing of financial data and reviews to drive financial performance and support our business partners.

The candidate will also be responsible for setting up financial data analysis, assisting in the month-end result package, preparing the annual budget and the quarterly forecasts. With a large focus on process improvement, the successful candidate is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of reporting systems and procedures utilized by the Financial Analysts, as well as other special projects as assigned.

This position will be located at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario and will have flexibility for both remote and in-office work based on our hybrid work model.

Accountabilities

Month End Close

Co-ordinate and work closely with finance team members to prepare the month end management reporting package
Analyze variances to budget, forecast and prior year and provide insights
Highlight any risks and opportunities and report results and actions to senior management and other stakeholders as needed
Budgeting and Forecasting

Assist in the development of the annual budget model and ensure all assumptions are consistent across the business units
Prepare the annual budget for the Resident Care business including revenue and all expenses
Co-ordinate the quarterly forecast and ensure assumptions are consistent and sound
Management Reporting

Develop metrics and insightful reports to drive performance and support various decision makers across resident care
Special Projects

Lead special projects including process improvement, reporting and any other ad-hoc requests to support the Resident Care business.
Collaborate with finance business partners to identify best practices and develop action plans to improve understanding of new policies and to build efficient processes and procedures
