Requirements:
Excellent customer service, communication, leadership, and organizational skills and sensitivity to interact with a diversity of patrons, parents, and staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification required.
Availability/flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
Due to the nature of the contacts of this position a Police Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the Town is required.
Specialized 1 – Starting $30
Responsible for program delivery of aqua fitness classes such as: shallow and/or deep Aqua Fitness (low, medium, high intensity classes) etc.
Demonstrated work experience of at least one to two years in the area hired to instruct.
Current certification or workshop from the stated teaching field.
Specialized 2 – Starting $35
Responsible for program delivery of specialized aqua fitness classes such as: Diaperfit, rehabilitative or therapeutic classes, Aqua Zumba, etc.
Demonstrated work experience of at least three years in the area hired to instruct.
2 or more current certification or workshop from the stated teaching field.
Demonstrated commitment to continued education in the fitness field (example: workshops, seminars, etc.).

The Successful Candidate Will:
Develop and deliver a fun, safe and inclusive aqua fitness class.
Ensure attendance is taken at each class so the class does not go over program capacity.
Communicate with participants to troubleshoot and discuss any issues or concerns with the program.
Liaise with the programmer to discuss any concerns, issues or developments with the program, facility or participants.
Manage their class time and preparation time, as well as arriving on time for their program.
Ensure a proper setup of their area prior to the beginning of each class.
Fill out the required paperwork that deals with Health and Safety issues, accidents, incidents or facility issues.
