Description:
We are currently looking for a Part - time cook to join our Cafeteria team. We provide our students with scratch made nutritious meals 3 times daily, 7 days a week. Duties will include all aspects of food preparation and some basic cooking, as directed by the chefs, food service and customer service. If you have a great attitude and enjoy contributing to a happy, healthy learning environment, this is a great place for you to work.
Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required.
Assist chefs and waitstaff as required, especially during peak hours.
Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
Escalate major issues when necessary (e.g. safety risks, equipment failure).
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Oversee kitchen operations.
Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment.
Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation.
Operate an industrial dishwasher, washing dishes and glassware by hand when necessary.
Other duties as requested.
