Requirements: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Three or more years of experience in logistics or transportation, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or experience with high value, high risk or temperature-controlled products.
• Proficient in logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS) and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance for pharmaceuticals supply chains is an asset.
• Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred.
• SQL experience preferred.
• Strong level of proficiency with Office Suite including Excel and Powerpoint.

Description: The Business Development Specialist plays a critical role in optimizing the transportation and supply chain operations within the pharmaceutical industry. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position is responsible for analyzing and improving logistical processes, as well as maintaining customer relationships, and supporting the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality, secure, and efficient transportation solutions. The Specialist will work to develop reporting in support of a variety of company initiatives and to support our customers. This position will be located on-site in Sharon, ON.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collect, analyze, and interpret transportation and logistics data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Create and maintain performance dashboards, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Evaluate and enhance supply chain and transportation processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely deliveries. Implement best practices for freight management, route optimization and energy savings.
• Utilize historical transportation data and understanding of fleet network to develop lane pricing for customers.
• Complete customer RFIs, RFQs and RFPs providing company information, logistical solutions and pricing.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure optimal logistics solutions. Evaluate company and customer performance and recommend improvements or alternative solutions.
• Review and analyze customer contracts
• Coordinate with customers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve logistical issues proactively. Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to align logistics goals with business objectives.
• Support customer relationships and coordinate customer QBRs along with business development team.
• Work in collaboration with others to direct investigations and verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints through to resolution.
