Requirements:
Proven experience with configuring and managing enterprise-grade network devices, such as Aruba, Sophos, or similar.
Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs) and network troubleshooting tools.
Expertise in Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Intune configuration.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on networking and hybrid cloud environments.
Experience with Call Centre telephony platforms - Five9 preferred.
Experience working with systems such as shopify, salesforce and SAP an asset.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V) and storage solutions (Synology).
Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection.
Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to streamline administrative tasks.
Ability to monitor and optimize network performance using Zabbix.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Certifications preferred: ITIL Foundations, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar.
Required Technical Certification:
Minimum 5 years of experience in systems administration with a focus on networking.
Proven track record of managing and improving enterprise IT infrastructure.

Position Summary:
The IT Systems Administrator – North America is a critical role responsible for managing and optimizing the organization’s IT infrastructure with a strong emphasis on networking. This position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient network and system environments that support business operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise networking, server administration, and cybersecurity, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement scalable solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Network Administration - Configure, monitor, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks to ensure secure and reliable connectivity across all locations.
Server Administration - Manage on-premises and cloud-based servers, including installation, configuration, and performance optimization.
Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution - Diagnose and resolve complex system and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations.
Security Management - Implement and maintain robust security measures, including firewalls, and patch management to safeguard systems and networks.
Backup and Disaster Recovery - Develop, implement, and test backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
System Upgrades and Maintenance - Plan and execute upgrades to hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Documentation and Reporting - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, processes, network layout and network configurations.
Collaboration - Work closely with cross-functional teams to support IT projects, address user concerns, and deliver infrastructure improvements.
Mentorship - Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Work Conditions:
Sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods of time.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
In-district travel is required for the purpose of on-site hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
