Number: 308 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Mississauga Requirements: Post Secondary Education diploma is preferred • 3 years of shipping and receiving experience • Extensive knowledge of major couriers, including how to operate their respective software packages • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc) • High attention to detail is essential with ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment • High attention to internal and external customer needs • Experience with preparing international shipments including customs documents is an asset • Must have a valid forklift licence • Ability to operate Forklift and Pump Trucks safely and efficiently • Good written and oral communication skills • High attention to company’s health & safety policies • Ability to multi task and assist production team when required. Lift and carry up to 25kg • Continually required to stand • Frequently required to walk, utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl • Exposure to fumes, airborne particles or toxic chemicals • The noise level in the work environment usually is moderate Description: The Warehouse Shipper/Receiver will perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment. They will manage verification, acceptance, counting and storage of all incoming goods and their condition. • Ship and receive all parts and materials as required • Update status of inbound and outbound orders • Contact carrier representative to obtain quotes, make arrangements and issue documentation and instructions for shipping and delivery of materials • Coordinate packing and shipping of all goods, including delays, condition, weight, quality etc • Maintain inventory of incoming, stored, and outgoing goods, as well as current available space • Perform general housekeeping tasks within the shipping and receiving area • Perform general duties and assist production team as required. Hours per week: Monday-Friday / Weekend Availability (if needed) 40 Rate of Pay: TBD
