Requirements:
• Those who own tools for performing the required job responsibilities as preferred
• Self-directed with ability to work autonomously
• A high level of accountability and self-direction with attention to detail
• Enthusiastic and friendly, with a demonstrated customer-centric orientation and communication skills
• Must practice safe work habits (housekeeping, hazard identification)
• Flexible with the willingness and ability to travel daily to residential locations mainly within the GTA and potentially to Muskoka as well
• A valid “G” driver’s license (in good standing) for the province of Ontario and hold a valid insurance coverage
• Ability to exercise compassion, tact and diplomacy in dealing with residents, families, and visitors
Description:
• Clean common areas such as corridors, lobbies, stairways, elevators and lounges as well as guest rooms
• Clean guest rooms
• Clean bathrooms
• Distribute linen, towels and room supplies using wheeled carts or by hand
• Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies, mini bar
• Replace dirty linens with clean items
• Store all dirty laundry in line with company policy
• Check all appliances in rooms are in working order
• Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
• Respond to guest queries and requests
• Respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses
• Deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms
• Organize and restock cart at the end of the shift
• Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
• Observe and report damage of hotel property
• Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service.
• Ensures housekeeping department standards are followed.
• Maintains inventory of necessary supplies.
• Reports necessary maintenance items.
• Follows departmental policies and procedures.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies
• Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
• Performs additional duties as needed
Hours per week:
Monday-Friday / Weekend Availability (if needed)
20-40 hrs/week
