Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Post-secondary education;
• 3+years’ experience processing Canadian payroll;
• Experience within the Transportation/Trucking industry is preferred;
• Experience using TMW is an asset;
• Understanding of Canadian payroll legislation – Canada Labour Code (Federally regulated workplaces), is preferred;
• Strong level of proficiency with Office Suite including Excel and Outlook

Description:
The Payroll Coordinator’s primary responsibility will be processing all payroll for the company, including hourly, salaried and contract employees. The Payroll Coordinator will report directly to the Administration Manager. This position will be located on-site in Sharon, ON.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Process payroll bi-weekly for approximately 150 Canadian employees and contractors, including hourly and salaried;
• First point of contact for payroll related inquires;
• Creating employee profiles in TMW for new hires;
• Keeping track of employees sick and personal days off, as well as Salaried employee vacations;
• Calculating quarterly Safety bonuses for Drivers;
• Creating annual tax forms for drivers;
• Comply with all established internal control procedures including the policy manual, emergency action plan and health and safety programs and training;
• Provide general administrative and clerical support to management, as required;
• Backup support for Reception, including answering phone calls and greeting visitors;
• Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
