Requirements: • 2+ years’ experience in IT helpdesk/desktop support
• 2- to 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing plant
• Experience in computer component hardware Desktops, Servers and Raid Drives an asset
• Experience/knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches is a plus• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) (nice to have)
• ITIL certification
• Must have own Vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Must be able to maintain an elevated level of confidentiality
• Strong organization, documentation and critical thinking skills required
• Work independently, as well as collaboratively
• Ability to multi-task and demonstrate initiative
• Organize/prioritize work effectively, to meet timelines with quality delivery
• Deliver and demonstrate an expert level of customer service
• Communicate professionally, concisely and consistently both verbally and in writing
• Experience supporting SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD and QuickBooks would be a plus
• Evaluate documented resolutions and suggest ways to prevent future problems

• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes an asset
Description: IMG is looking for a technically skilled candidate with good problem-solving abilities for the position of IT Support Technician. The duties of an IT technician include being a reference point for all IT-related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties.
This is a junior to intermediate role and the challenges you will be presented will be commensurate with your skill level. Ongoing technical training will be provided but you will be expected to begin with a substantial background in IT hardware support (a mix of education and professional experience). You are also expected to be in possession of notable people skills that will allow you to provide technical support.
• A basic understanding of TCP/IP networking. These protocols are the foundation of network communication and are essential for troubleshooting and optimizing network performance.
• Knowledge of network security practices and tools is vital. This includes configuring firewalls, implementing security measures to protect data, and staying updated on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Strong troubleshooting skills are essential for diagnosing and resolving network problems, whether they stem from hardware failures, software bugs, or configuration errors.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V is beneficial for managing virtual networks and optimizing resource utilization.
• Experience with configuration and troubleshooting of desktop PC/laptop, printers, hardware and software (Windows)
• Knowledge of network administration, Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft office suite
• Support, installation and troubleshooting of network devices (routers, switches, modems, Wi-Fi access points)
• Providing hands-on technical support in person, over the phone, through email and using remote support tools to staff across the organization (multi-site, client server network
• Experience in mobile devices (Android/iPhone)
