Requirements: • This role will require the flexibility to work a variety of shifts including day, evening, weekends, and holidays as seasonal peaks require.
• This position requires extended periods of walking and standing, as well as the ability to lift 50lbs and work in various weather conditions and environments.• Strong leader that drives results, motivates employees, and ensures accountability while aiming to exceed expectations.

• High standard of professionalism with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple demands, setting priorities, making decisions, and exercising best judgment.

• Post-secondary degree in Horticulture or related experience preferred
• Valid class G Ontario driver’s license.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Description: The Grower is responsible for carrying out their instructions and supervising a team of skilled workers to complete growing tasks related to pruning, fertilizing, spacing and other needs of the plants as required.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• As part of the Growing team, learn the requirements for a section of plants
• Lead a crew through the process for each stage of producing top quality container grown plants:
• Pruning, fertilizer, winterizing, IPM
• Assembly for sales
• Supervision, production reporting
• Promote a safe and healthy working environment.
• Able to join other work crews as priorities require.
• Action oriented – take on new crops and responsibilities with a sense of urgency, and enthusiasm.
• Ensure accountability by following through on commitments and acts with a sense of ownership.
• Optimize work processes by planning and knowing the most efficient and effective process to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Hours per week: Monday-Friday / Weekend Availability (if needed) 20-40 hrs/week
