Requirements: Keys to your success: Bachelor’s degree (or similar post-secondary education) in computer, electrical or electronics engineering, with demonstrated academic excellence; Minimum of 7 years of experience developing and testing embedded systems designs; Experience:
in embedded software development, including knowledge of common computer languages (C, C++, Python, etc.); in integrating and testing software at both the individual chassis level and across a system with multiple chassis; in preparing QA and other documentation to demonstrate compliance with requirements. Strong knowledge in developing embedded software in C/C++; Strong leadership skills; Results-driven and flexible, with a strong sense of ownership. Extra edge: Professional Engineer licence in Ontario (or pursuing); Experience in the nuclear industry; FPGA/VHDL experience. Language skills - English: Proficient
Description: As a senior embedded systems design engineer, you will work as part of a technical project team on technically challenging and interesting projects, primarily within the nuclear industry. You will deliver embedded solutions to clients, working both with hardware and embedded software solutions. In both technical and client-facing capacities, you will solve unique problems that address client requirements. Travel to the United States may be required approximately 25% of the time. Your day-to-day: Prepare design specifications and develop embedded software in C/C++; Perform module/unit testing and integration testing of designs; Conduct code reviews and verify design specifications and reports; Conduct unit/module testing of individual functions using industry-standard toolsets (e.g., LDRA); Perform integration testing of software at both the individual chassis level and across a system with multiple chassis; Create QA artifacts and other documentation to demonstrate compliance with requirements; Conduct code reviews and verifications of design specifications and reports; Work with FPGA/VHDL.
