Requirements:
Education & Skills:
Post-secondary education in Business Administration Management and/or related field;
5-8 years’ experience including basic Accounting and Inventory Management Principles;
5 years’ experience organizing workflow in order to accomplish multiple and changing priorities within specified timeframes; ability to tap into available resources, show attention to details; keep accurate records, and work under pressure.
5 years’ experience using communication skills (verbal and written); to communicate verbally and in one‑on‑one or group situations, or over the telephone and communicating in writing by composing clear documents.
3- 5 years’ experience multi-tasking on multiple projects at the same time.
3- 5 years’ experience working in an extremely detail oriented and accurate environment with the ability to act and react quickly;
3 – 5 years using time management skills to achieve project goals;
3 – 5 years’ working experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Manager, Store Fixture & Merchandising Teams’ main purpose is to support the Supervisor and Store Fixture & Merchandising Team in the day-to-day activities within Store Development projects. They provide hands on support throughout the store projects including verification of take-off counts, resource management, scheduling, communication, and procurement.
The Manager, Store Fixture & Merchandising Team is responsible for the day-to-day management, scheduling, expenses, performance standards and providing support to the Store Fixture & Merchandising Team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Supervisor, Store Fixture & Merchandising Team with Performance Management of team members through SMART goals to ensure that trends of underperformance are formally addressed, with clear and documented performance improvement plans. Formally recognize strong performers within the Store Fixture & Merchandising Team.
Day-to-day management of the Store Fixture & Merchandising Team under direction and supervision of the Senior Manager, Store Development, including scheduling, attendance, expenses, and performance standards.
Attend weekly Store Development meetings for Projects with input for Merchandising Department.
Prepare departmental attendance/vacation schedule/lieu calendar for VP, Store Development.
Manage and maintain Day Force for the Store Fixture & Merchandising Team and consult with the Distribution Center to account for hours logged.
Review Project Calendar to ensure that Project coverage is maintained while Statutory Holidays are being observed in Lieu where necessary.
Primary SutiExpense reviewer and trainer of App for the entire Store Development Team.
Prepare Purchase Orders for uniforms and Tool/Hardware requirements for the Store Fixture & Merchandising Team.
Prepare Store Equipment & Moveable Assets Inventory List (SE&MAIL) in preparation for review with Senior Manager, Store Development.
Prepare End of Term Letter in preparation for review with Senior Manager, Store Development.
Send weekly Updates to Operations and Store Development on timelines for Corporate Takeovers.
Prepare communication to Franchisee of walk through for review with Senior Manager, Store Development
Complete Takeover document and track all deficiencies with photos from walk through.
Send to Facilities & Maintenance all photos and logs of deficiencies for the purpose of quoting.
Communicate with Franchisee the list of the deficiencies along with a Cost Acknowledgement to have repairs completed.
Follow up with Franchisee repeatedly on these communications.
Coordinate communication to Franchisee along with trades at the store to complete deficiencies.
Request and obtain completion photos until Takeover log is completed.
Prepare all Contract Purchase Orders for takeovers for review with Senior Manager, Store Development. (HVAC, waste, etc.)
Coordinate with Facilities & Maintenance all other non-contract Purchase Orders for takeover to be issued. (timeclock, fridge, supplies)
Prepare Timing of Events letter to Regional Director and Operations, inclusive of all vendor work scheduled, for review with Senior Manager, Store Development.
Forward Approved Timing of Events letter to vendors for each takeover.
Communicate highly confidential list of stores that will be taken over within the next 12 months to key vendors, such as locksmith and security to make room in schedule.
Investigate with local municipalities have jurisdiction, the process of obtaining or transferring a business licence 120 days in advance of takeover.
Complete all applications, forms and submit Letter of Authorization, Corporate Profiles, Articles of Amalgamation, Annual Returns and Police background checks as required by each municipality.
Arrange for Health and Fire Inspections as required by local municipality.
Follow up date of takeover a clean copy of Deficiencies on Date of Takeover to Legal.
Support the Facilities & Maintenance queue when lieu/vacation is being taken.
Support the Facilities & Maintenance queue with fixtures and supplies inquiries, including NAV stock.
Prepares fixture take-offs from approved store fixture layout, verifying counts for accurate ordering and budgets and reporting any discrepancies.
All travel for the Store Development department is to be proposed to Senior Manager, Store Development along with budget for Approval.
Issue Purchase Orders to Finance and books all travel, including airfare, cars, hotel and taxis.
Completes a merchandise flow of Approved layout, and submits to Merchandising for final SKU placement, bulk and packaged.
Final merchandising layout reviewed/tweaked and submitted to Jason Ofield for final Approval.
Issue Assignment Briefs for each and every project in a timely manner.
Project Binder, complete with POs, layouts, sign package, merchandise bulk layout, scope, plano grams.
Communicate verbally and in writing with Supervisor, Store Fixture & Merchandising Team to ensure that calendar, assignment briefs and truck schedules are clear and concise.
Follow up with Project Coordinator on Projects to ensure that timely responses are communicated for missing fixtures during project build.
Provide Senior Manager, Store Development daily labour update with explanation of request for Overtime.
