Number: 798 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Stouffville Requirements: FLEET MECHANIC **Responsibilities:** - Service and maintain medium and heavy-duty trucks and mounted hydraulic equipment - Maintain service documentation records and complete reports of work performed - Review work orders and establish priorities with Garage Foreman - Ensure the schedule for vehicle and equipment repairs is fulfilled as assigned - Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and electric systems - Continuously learn skills in welding, fabricating, grinding, and gas/electric systems - Perform all duties in compliance with policies, procedures, and safety regulations - Maintain a valid driver’s licence to pick up, deliver, and test vehicles **Qualifications and Requirements:** - Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working on heavy-duty trucks or heavy-duty equipment - Valid Driver’s Licence – Driver Abstract will be requested - High School Diploma required - Must provide own tools - 310T Certificate is preferred (apprentices also eligible) - Knowledge of utility equipment is an asset - Hydraulic experience is an asset - Welding experience is an asset - Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers - Accuracy in diagnosing mechanical issues - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Maintains a clean and organized work environment - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills related to trucks and equipment Description: Hours per week: Rate of Pay:
