Number: 300 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Brampton Requirements: Required skills and knowledge: • High energy, self-starter • A keen interest in summer camp • Experience working with children in a camp or school setting would be considered and asset • Excellent people skills and a friendly, responsible, service-oriented attitude • Strong communication and teamwork abilities • Strong computer skills, able to enter data accurately and efficiently Other Qualifications: • Some experience with children ages 4 to 12 in a camp or educational setting • Candidates must be currently certified in First Aid/Level C CPR Certifications • Valid driver’s license is a must • Criminal Records Check with vulnerable sector • Candidates should be prepared for physical labour of lifting, moving (chairs/tables etc.) and lots of walking Description: CSC Camps is looking for a responsible, enthusiastic and outgoing Camp Counselor for our summer camps. The Camp Counselor is to act as a leader and assist camp children in a fun and safe camp experience. Responsibilities: • Active involvement in the operation and delivery of the camp programs • Assist with planning and implementing camp programs • Ensure all inventories are maintained (med kits, equipment etc) • Ensure programs run on schedule • Learn and teach assigned camp curriculum and weekly camp themes as needed • Other duties as assigned Hours per week: Monday-Friday 30-35 hrs per week Rate of Pay: $17.20/hr
