Job Title: General Labourer – Day Shift   Date Posted: 06/06/25 Ref. Number: 305 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Mississauga Requirements: Duties for this position will include, but not be limited to, the following: Provide general labour support to the paint shop: hand painting and cleaning of select steel materials and joist. moving material and/ or equipment within the paint shop. general cleanliness and organization for the paintshop. Load and unload materials, both manually and with hoists or forklifts. Ensure proper storage and restock of paint materials. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas. Provide general labour support as needed throughout the plant. Report any safety hazards, damage or required repairs to supervisors. Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Practice good housekeeping, including 5S requirements, and time management in the performance of daily duties. Comply with all legislated and Company Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and Lean policies, procedures and programs. Perform all other duties as assigned. Description: Position will require the ability to: Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting an asset. Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs). Ability to work in hot, noisy, and physically demanding environments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Working safely is a condition of employment at Canam. The role involves a general office setting and constant exposure to computer display. Safety PPE (personal protective equipment) must be worn while onsite (steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses, etc.). Daily interactions include engaging with construction site personnel, managers and other team members. Hours per week: Monday-Friday (6am-2:30pm) 40 Rate of Pay: TBD
