About the Company:
We are a growing civil construction company specializing in earthworks, bridge construction, stormwater management, site development, and concrete works. We are looking for a skilled Site Supervisor to oversee field operations and ensure successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily field activities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion.
Manage foremen and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Lead daily toolbox talks and progress meetings with foremen to plan work execution.
Enforce COR IHSA safety regulations, conduct site inspections, and uphold safety protocols.
Oversee equipment use and work methods to maintain site efficiency.
Ensure operators complete equipment circle checks, incident reports, time sheets, and daily logs accurately.
Coordinate material deliveries, site security measures, and equipment tracking.
Maintain daily logs, productivity reports, and site issue records using BusyBusy and Acumatica PM tools.
Provide daily updates to the General Superintendent and Project Manager to assist with scheduling, budgeting, and tracking.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of civil construction experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role on infrastructure, commercial, or institutional projects.
Strong knowledge of earthworks, grading, excavation, compaction, concrete forming, paving, and underground utilities.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specs.
Experience with Topcon GPS, MS Project, Revu, BusyBusy, or similar project tracking tools.
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance (excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders); supervisor will not operate equipment but must understand its use.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage site staff effectively.
Ability to manage site operations independently and ensure smooth workflow.
Relevant health and safety certifications (WHMIS, First Aid, OSHA, COR IHSA).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks.
