• Previous experience in residential construction considered an asset
• Experience with measuring and cutting of various construction materials (ex: framing, drywalling, etc.) considered an asset
• Physically able and can lift up to 50 lbs
• Punctual, reliable, and hard-working
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• CSA-approved safety boots required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation an asset
• Basic knowledge of tools and construction safety is an asset
Description:
We are seeking a dependable and motivated General Labourer to join our residential construction team. This hands-on role involves supporting all phases of construction, including site preparation, demolition, framing assistance, drywall support, material handling, tool organization, and site cleanup. The ideal candidate is physically able, safety-conscious, and eager to learn from experienced trades. You’ll be expected to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, assisting skilled workers and supervisors in building high-quality custom homes, additions, and renovations across York Region and the Kawarthas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist tradespeople (subcontractors, carpenters, etc.) with daily tasks
• Load, unload, and move construction materials
• Site preparation and clean-up
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely
• Assist in completing the full scope of residential construction projects from start to finish, including demolition, framing, insulation, drywall, finishing, painting, trim, flooring, kitchen and bathroom installation, and final site cleanup
• Follow direction from site supervisor and lead hands
• Ensure proper care and securely store all tools and equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all health and safety protocols
