High School Diploma or equivalent experience
•
At least 2 years of experience in Manufacturing or shop work (Custom production)
•
Carpentry and sheet metal or metal fabrication experience an asset
•
Strong mechanical aptitude
•
Proficient and able to use power tools
•
Experience working with quality finishes preferred
•
Certification or training in mechanical, carpentry an asset.
•
Proficiency with reading drawings
•
Medium to highly detail-oriented
•
Able to lift up to 50lbs (assisted if needed)
Description:
Primary Function:
Responsible for the manufacturing of wall panels and ceilings made from various metals, woods, and glass, to create quality elevator interiors that meet the design specifications of our customers.
Responsibilities, Skills, and Competencies:
1.
Build and assemble parts in accordance with mechanical drawings and instructions.
2.
Understand and correctly interpret mechanical drawings.
3.
Apply close visual attention to product appearance in accordance with standards for finishes.
4.
Handle medium-to-heavy materials intermittently.
5.
Complete work within expected periods of time.
6.
Minimize scrap through diligence and planning.
7.
Open communication with various interdepartmental personnel.
8.
Demonstrate low absenteeism and punctuality.
9.
Complete shop records accurately and comprehensively.
10.
Work with minimal supervision.
11.
Other tasks as assigned.
12.
Able to lift up to 50lbs (assisted if needed); may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.
