About the Role:
A learning centre dedicated to providing supplemental after-school math instruction is seeking passionate and skilled Math Instructors/Tutors to join its team. The environment is positive and encouraging, with customized materials and curriculum provided for each student based on their individual strengths and areas for improvement.

Instructors are part-time employees who work flexible hours and receive full training in the organization’s teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities

Provide engaging math instruction to students at various grade levels (elementary through high school)

Use provided curriculum and teaching materials to support student learning

Apply the centre’s structured teaching methods after completing required training

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Maintain a supportive and professional learning environment

Required Qualifications

Ability to teach math at any level (elementary through high school, including advanced courses such as Grade 12 Advanced Functions, Data Management, Calculus, and Vectors)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Passion for math and education

Willingness to learn and apply the organization’s instructional method

Experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, teaching, coaching, camp counselling, etc.)

Must be able to provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check upon offer of employment

Preferred Backgrounds:

Ontario certified teachers with math as a teachable subject

Early childhood educators

University students or graduates from programs with strong math content

Job Details

Job Type: Part-time, Permanent
Hours: 8–20 per week
Pay: $17.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)
