Requirements: • Social Services Worker Diploma.
• Experience working with clients living with mental health conditions.
• Knowledge of hoarding disorder and harm reduction approach.
• Experience in community health setting.
• Experience facilitating groups and assisting with development and recruitment.
• Experience with delivering presentations.
• Knowledge of the health care system.
• Knowledge of local community resources.
• Microsoft office experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively with a team.
• First Aid certification required.
• Vehicle and valid Ontario driver’s license required.
Description: Working in a community health setting as part of a team focusing on increasing education around hoarding to organizations and the public, as well as supporting services to individuals living with hoarding behaviors.
In this role you will:
• Support community education sessions and group activities.
• Network with existing Tenancy Risk Reduction Services program community partners.
• Identify potential new partners and assist with developing new service partnerships.
• Work with clients one on one, and in support groups.
• Assist with administrative tasks.
Services are provided both virtually and in person.
We will provide: Personal protective equipment; training and support; paid mileage.
Hours per week: 35
