Number: 781 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Gormley Requirements: Job Title: Maintenance Technician Employment Type: Full-time Location: Gormley, Ontario Job Description: A leading agricultural producer in Gormley, Ontario, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on all facility equipment, focusing heavily on packaging and processing machinery. Diagnose and repair electrical faults (e.g., motor controls, sensors, wiring, variable frequency drives, PLCs). Address mechanical issues (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveying systems, pumps, motors). Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately in the maintenance management system. Collaborate with the production team to minimize equipment downtime and optimize operational efficiency. Adhere to all safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and farm food safety standards. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Industrial Mechanic, or Millwright in a manufacturing or agricultural/food processing environment. Required: Demonstrated experience servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing flow-wrapping/packaging machines. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and experience up to 600V. Familiarity with PLCs is a strong asset. Solid mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with equipment overhaul and repair. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Additional Details Location: Gormley, Ontario (Northern York Region) Schedule: Full-time. Must be flexible to work shifts, including potential weekends and on-call duties during peak production seasons.
