Qualifications:
Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Recreation and Leisure Studies or related discipline is required.
Two (2) to three (3) years of progressive experience in Municipal Recreation including experience in the design and delivery of Adult & Older Adult programs/events, community development, and administration, required.
Thorough working knowledge of marketing concepts and strategies, events co-ordination, community programming/development, and facilitation techniques.
Strong ability to deal courteously and effectively with all levels of staff, elected officials, community groups, program participants, general public, external agencies, and other levels of government.
Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification and AODA certificate.
Availability to work flexible hours and/or shifts and attend evening and/or weekend programs/activities/meetings/events.
Valid class āGā license in good standing and reliable vehicle to use.
Description:
The Coordinator, Adult & Older Adults is responsible for the design, delivery and supervision of the Adults & Older Adults programs, activities and events. he Coordinator, Adult & Older Adult will also oversee the formation and supervision of volunteer committees/groups, oversee the division budget process in addition to leading direct reports along with other administrative functions.
