Requirements:
A minimum of three to five (3 to 5) years experience with full-cycle and high-volume recruitment, preferably in a union environment
Experience as an HR recruiter coordinating and administering HR related programs and policies
Post-secondary education in Human Resources Administration
Experience with ADP is must.
CHRP designation (or working towards it) preferred
Professional work experience in a small business environment, and/or in the developmental services/mental health industry is preferred
A good understanding of the Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act and other employment-related legislation
The ability to work well independently and in a team environment
Demonstrated strong organizational and written communication skills
Flexible and adaptable
Experience in non-profit sector an asset
Proven effective interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Vulnerable Sector Screening – police check
Valid Driver’s license, reliable vehicle and insurance. Ability to travel throughout York Region.
Description:
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Specialist supports the HR team with administrative responsibilities and tasks, including but not limited to recruitment.
Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding (85% of time)
Support the HR team to source high-quality candidates through various talent acquisition channels: online job boards, social media outlets, employee referrals.
Identify and attend relevant career fairs, college fairs, and industry events, etc.
Develop new agency connections, review contracts and make recommendations for best practices as it relates to recruitment and retention.
Assist with the co-ordination and preparation of interviews.
Develop and maintain a recruitment tracking system.
Develop a feedback survey, administer, and review data to enhance Blue Doors orientation program.
Manage the onboarding process, set-up new employees and students in ADP, work with finance to set up payroll.
Other HR Administrative Duties (15% of time)
HR Administration and Reporting.
In co-operation with payroll, ensures employee salary and benefit needs, requests, and requirements are met.
Supports HR Assistant with the maintenance of employee personnel files.
ADP administration and backup.
Other duties as assigned.
