Job Title: Working Concrete Foreman
Role Overview
We are seeking a Working Concrete Foreman to lead flatwork and structural concrete crews while actively performing the work. This role supports municipal and structural concrete projects and carries a high level of responsibility for quality and inspected work.
The Working Foreman collaborates closely with the Site Supervisor or Superintendent and leads production from within the crew.

Sidewalks, curbs, and concrete flatwork
Bridge components, abutments, and structural concrete
Parks, walkways, and municipal concrete infrastructure
Key Responsibilities
Hands-On Concrete Work
Work directly with crews performing forming, placing, finishing, and curing
Assist with layout, elevations, rebar placement, and finishing
Operate equipment and tools required for concrete work
Train crew members on proper concrete techniques and workmanship
Production & Quality Control
Measure and record daily concrete quantities poured
Ensure concrete finishes meet specification and tolerance requirements
Monitor curing, protection, and weather-related controls
Coordination & Equipment
Assist with ordering concrete trucks, pumps, rebar, formwork, and accessories
Coordinate tools and equipment needed for pours
Ensure equipment is maintained and inspected
Safety & Compliance
Conduct daily tailgate talks and enforce concrete-specific safety procedures
Support testing, inspections, and deficiency corrections
Requirements
Concrete construction experience in Canada or the United States is required
5+ years hands-on concrete experience
Strong understanding of flatwork and structural concrete
Ability to read structural drawings and details
Comfortable performing physical work and leading by example
Proficient operating heavy equipment
Strong understanding of grading, slopes, and earthworks techniques
Experience with GPS machine control and laser levels
Comfortable leading crews while performing hands-on work
Must be fluent in English; Spanish is an asset

Location & Requirements
Must reliably commute or relocate to Stouffville, ON before starting work
Experience in heavy equipment operation: 5 years (required)
Experience with Topcon or similar GPS: 1 year (preferred)
Experience finishing concrete: 5 years (required)
Experience as civil foreman/supervisor in Canada/US: 2 years (required)
Experience pouring sidewalks and curbs: 5 years (required)
Work experience in Canada/US: 5 years (required)
Language: English (required), Spanish (preferred)
License/Certification: Class G Licence (required)
