Requirements: Skills and Qualification requirements:
● A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, e.g., finance, business, operations, research, statistics, mathematics, economics) is preferred.
● Prior experience in business plan writing, grant or proposal writing, and financial management is an asset.
● Proficiency in financial management, including planning, forecasting, and business analysis. Knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to interpret financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement) is a plus.
● Experience in conducting market research, including analyzing and synthesizing reports and performing primary research, is beneficial.
● Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
● A natural curiosity and a “big picture” mentality.
● Strong research, analytical, and planning abilities with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Description:
We are looking for a hardworking individual to join our growing team as a Business Plan and Grant Writing Specialist. In this role, you will primarily create business plans for government funding programs and other business financing opportunities. The successful candidate can expect a competitive wage, an insurance benefits plan, and steady work.

Duties/Responsibilities:
● Business Insight: Develop a deep understanding of the client's products, customers, competitors, and market trends.
● Market Research: Conduct thorough research and analysis using market reports and client data.
● Regulatory Compliance: Describe relevant government or industry-specific regulations impacting the business.
● Competitor Analysis: Identify direct and indirect competitors, including potential future competitors, and analyze their impact on the business.
● Market Assessment: Implement a total addressable market analysis for the core market, assess major industry trends, and evaluate their potential impact.
● Business Plan Development: Develop clear and compelling business plans for funding proposals, incorporating insights from research.
● Financial Projections: Formulate detailed 3-5 year financial projections, including assumptions, drivers, and various scenarios.
● Grant Development: Create business proposals and funding applications to support various initiatives such as expansion, R&D, capital investment, and training. Gather necessary supporting documentation, prepare proposals, and submit applications for government grants.

Hours per week: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. 35+
Rate of Pay: from $18/hour
