Number: 796 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Stouffville Requirements: SITE SUPERVISOR — CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE Whitchurch-Stouffville Salary: $42K – $100K per year (estimated range) About the Company A civil construction company specializing in earthworks, bridge construction, stormwater management, site development, and concrete works is seeking a highly skilled Site Supervisor to oversee field operations and ensure the successful completion of projects. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily field activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule Manage foremen and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality control, and work methodologies Conduct daily toolbox talks and progress review meetings to plan work execution with foremen Enforce compliance with COR IHSA safety regulations, conducting site inspections and ensuring proper safety protocols Oversee equipment operation and work methodologies, ensuring best practices for site efficiency Ensure operators complete equipment circle checks, incident reports, timesheets, and daily logs correctly Coordinate material deliveries, site security (cameras, lighting, fencing), and equipment tracking Maintain daily logs, crew productivity reports, and site issue records using project management tools Provide daily updates to the General Superintendent and Project Manager to support scheduling, budgeting, and overall project tracking Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules Qualifications Minimum 5 years of civil construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role on infrastructure, commercial, or institutional projects Strong knowledge of earthworks, grading, excavation, compaction, concrete forming, paving, and underground utilities Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications Experience with Topcon GPS, MS Project, Revu, BusyBusy or similar tools for project tracking and reporting Knowledge of heavy equipment operation (excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders) and understanding of maintenance and safety procedures (supervisor role does not operate equipment) Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage and guide site staff, including foremen and subcontractors Ability to manage site operations without direct intervention from foremen, ensuring smooth execution of work Health and safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, First Aid, OSHA, COR IHSA compliance) Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks effectively Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as required Compensation & Perks Competitive compensation package based on experience Comprehensive health benefits Company-provided truck, laptop, and phone Opportunity to work on high-profile civil infrastructure projects across Southern Ontario Supportive team environment with strong leadership and growth opportunities Career advancement opportunities Job Type: Full-time Benefits Company car Company events Dental care Extended health care Vision care Ability to Commute/Relocate Stouffville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience North American Civil Construction: 3 years (required) North American Civil Supervisor: 3 years (required) Topcon GPS/Trimble: 1 year (required) Managing multiple construction crews at once: 3 years (preferred) Ontario road building/road reconstruction: 1 year (preferred) Language Any other languages (preferred) Work Location: In person Description: Hours per week: Rate of Pay:
