Overview

We are a heavy civil contractor delivering infrastructure and site development projects across Southern Ontario. Our work includes mass earthworks, demolition, underground servicing, road building, stormwater management, structures, and municipal infrastructure.

We are seeking a Senior Civil Estimator to support continued growth and strengthen estimating capabilities.

This is a senior-level, hands-on estimating role suited for an experienced professional who can manage the full estimating cycle with minimal oversight.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing accurate, competitive estimates and supporting bid strategy across a range of civil infrastructure projects, working closely with senior leadership and operations.

Project Types

Mass earthworks and bulk excavation

Demolition and site clearing

Underground services (sanitary, storm, water)

Road building and municipal infrastructure

Bridges, culverts, and retaining structures

Stormwater management and site development

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed estimates for heavy civil projects

Perform quantity takeoffs and production-based costing

Review drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and addenda

Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor and supplier pricing

Support bid strategy, pricing reviews, and go/no-go decisions

Identify risk, constructability issues, and value engineering opportunities

Coordinate with project management and field teams

Maintain organized estimating documentation and pricing data

Qualifications

8+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction

Strong background in infrastructure, municipal, and site development work

Proven ability to manage estimates independently

Solid understanding of civil construction means and methods

Ability to handle multiple bids and deadlines

Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Canadian civil construction experience required

Bachelor's Degree (required)
