About the Role

We are a growing group of operating companies across construction, environmental services, ready-mix concrete, and development. As we continue to scale, we are looking to add a Human Resources & Office Manager to support our people, operations, and internal structure across the organization.

This is a combined HR and office leadership role for someone who is hands-on, organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, operational environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening HR processes while ensuring the day-to-day office function runs efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources

Lead recruitment, hiring, and onboarding across multiple operating companies

Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee documentation

Support managers with employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary matters

Ensure compliance with Ontario employment standards and HR best practices

Oversee compensation administration, benefits coordination, and HR recordkeeping

Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning and organizational development initiatives

Office Management & Operations

Oversee day-to-day office operations and administrative functions

Coordinate internal processes between operations, finance, and leadership

Manage office systems, documentation, and internal workflows

Act as a liaison between employees and management to support clear communication across departments

Coordinate with department heads to support resource planning, tracking, and internal coordination

People, Training & Engagement

Coordinate and manage company events, team-building activities, and employee engagement initiatives

Organize employee training sessions and maintain compliance records, including safety training and required certifications

Provide logistical and administrative support for internal meetings, training sessions, and company events

Maintain HR and company compliance documentation and support audits or internal reviews as required

Work closely with finance leadership on workforce reporting, HR budgeting, and expense tracking

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Human Resources, Office Management, or a combined role

Experience working in operational, fast-paced environments

Background in construction, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, or similar industries is a strong asset

Strong knowledge of Ontario employment standards and HR best practices

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive

Comfortable working independently and taking ownership

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
