Job Title: Automotive Service Advisor   Date Posted: 02/06/26 Ref. Number: 936 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Newmarket Requirements: •A minimum of 2 years of Service Advisor experience; •Ability to multi-task, organized and be detail-oriented; •Clean Drivers Abstract. Description: •Greeting each customer in a prompt, courteous manner, letting customers who are waiting in line know that they will be helped soon; •Communicating with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problems; •Securing agreement from customers before repairs; covering cost estimate; and approximate time when vehicle's work will be completed; •Maintaining a dealership-prescribed standard for "hours per customer repair order written"; •Advising customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturer's specifications, using maintenance menus; •Explaining optional services, warranty information, and policies to customers; •Handling minor customer complaints and misunderstandings; •Communicating the need for additional work when needed, explaining the details to the customer, including the additional cost and time consideration, and documenting properly on the repair order; •Following up on the progress of each repair order during the day, contacting customers regarding changes in the estimate or time promised; •Handling telephone inquiries regarding work in process and appointments and returning phone messages promptly; •Staying up to date on technical and performance information on all vehicles serviced by the dealership; •Advising customers of parts ordered and making an appointment to have them installed before the customer leaves; •Refer leads and prospects for vehicle sales to the new and pre-owned sales departments; •Assisting the Service Manager as necessary.
