Number: 963 Type: Full Time Part Time Location: Newmarket Requirements: Responsibilities Keep the shop clean, safe and organized (sweeping, garbage, general upkeep) Safely operate a forklift to load, unload and move materials Receive, put away and pick stock Assist with organizing inventory, parts and supplies Preparing materials by saw-cutting and deburring Deburring, cleaning and packing finished parts Assisting CNC operators by swapping parts Key Competencies Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred but training can be provided for qualified applicants Basic math skills necessary for measurement calculations and understanding technical drawings Verbal and written communication skills Good judgement Initiative and reliability Safety Conscious Education and Experience High School Diploma Valid "G" Driver's Licence with clean driving record Previous experience in manufacturing or machine shop environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates Manual machining experience (mill and/or lathe) is an asset Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Shop Labourer to join our manufacturing team. The Shop Labourer will help keep our facility clean, organized, and running efficiently. This is a position responsible for preparing materials, general cleaning handling stock, operating a fork lift and assisting with deliveries and pickups. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills in machining while working alongside experienced professionals committed to excellence. The expected working hours for this position is 9:00am - 6:00pm Hours per week: 40 Rate of Pay: $24-$26/ hour
