Requirements: Qualifications
● Required: Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Google docs and Google Sheets
● 2+ years of experience with administration, project management or sales support is preferred
● Familiarity with the Canadian nonprofit sector, grant-writing or fundraising an asset.
● Passionate about customer service and fulfillment.
● Good time management and prioritization skills.
● Good writing, editing, and communication skills
● An excellent command of the English language.
● Experience with any of the following is an asset: AirTable, Google Suite, Canva and Hubspot CRM.
● Reliability and professionalism when communicating with staff and clients.
*The work will take place remotely with occasional meetings at the EDGE Co-working space within Sheridan College’s Hazel McCallion Campus in Mississauga, Ontario. The majority of work will take place remotely.*
Description: Responsibilities - OPERATIONS
● Generate estimates and invoices with accurate tracking of payment status
● Create templates for grant applications based on DoGood guidelines
● Assisting with accounts receivable follow-up emails and outgoing phone calls.
● Provide administrative support for event logistics including booking meeting rooms and catering
● Prepare and manage travel itineraries and reservations for business trips
● General tasks including email management, follow-up on action items from meetings, and scheduling meetings.
● Adding to and organizing files in Google Drive and Dropbox.
● Step in for any member of the operations team during planned or unplanned absences when needed.
Responsibilities - SALES and MARKETING
● Supporting the Sales Lead in updating the sales pipeline and follow-ups with prospects.
● Assisting in the preparation of sales proposals following templates.
● Conducting basic market research on potential clients.
● General tasks including maintaining records and generating one-click reports.
● Providing customer support and addressing client inquiries by email.
Hours per week: Monday-Friday 30 hrs per week
Rate of Pay: $25/hr
